Natalee turns two months old

Where did the past two months go????

I can't believe Natalee is two months old. She has grown so much in these past two months. We are very blessed to have Natalee with us. She is my little angel.

Natalee is sleeping through most nights, eating really really well (especially in the evenings), smiles, makes eye contact, and loves to play. She is awake alot more than she was one month ago. I love this stage. She makes the cutest sounds. She loves to play in the bathtub. She is already splashing and kicking her legs.

Charlee is terrific with Natalee. She helps with finding the binkie (I have 1/2 dozen and can never find one), loves taking a bath with Natalee, picks out clothes, changes diapers, makes bottles, and lets me know when she is crying (if I couldn't hear).

The best help from Charlee is while driving in the car and Charlee screams out "Mom, Natalee just throw up". My little helper.

Mother's Day

I still can't believe that I'm the Mom of two wonderful and adorable children. We had a great weekend. It all started with Chinese dinner with Oma and Opa on Friday, lunch with Great-Grandma on Saturday, Friday and Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa.

On Sunday, the Girls and I spent the entire day together. We hung around the house, played toys, colored, went to the park, and finished the evening with a Wendy's Frosty. I also had the pleasure of doing 4 loads of laundry, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming the house, and doing the dishes. A Mother's work is never done.

The Girls are both asleep and I'm right behind them.

A repeat of last night

Last night, Natalee slept through the entire night, again. Is this a new trend?

I hope.

Charlee is still under the weather. She is getting better but she is still wiped out.

We are looking forward to the weekend. It's been a long long long week.

A Full Nights Sleep

I'm proud to announce that Natalee slept through the entire night. I'm not sure how this happened but I'm not complaining. Is this a new trend? I hope so.....

Of course, I was not able to sleep through the entire night because Charlee had to get up a few times to go potty. She is feeling better this morning. She requested milk (I don't think so) and cereal. How about diluted juice and cereal? OK.

My first two days back to work....

My first day back to work after being off for 7 weeks was uneventful except for Charlee pucking at Grandma's house. Yep, she go the BUG!!!!! Grandma took good care of the Girls but this made going back to work even harder.

I didn't get much catch up done at work but I was present and remembered all of my passwords so that is a start. I just wanted to be home especially for Charlee. This was only the second time since our time together that she has thrown-up.

After work we watched Cinderella three times then it was off to bed. Charlee slept fairly well last night. I thought she was doing fairly well when she asked for a waffle this morning for breakfast.

I dropped the Girls off at Grandma Beckie and Grandpa Paul's house. And off to work I go......

I made a comment to a visitor at the hospital as I was getting in the elevators that would come back to bite me...."I've worked here for 15 years and have never gotten stuck in an elevator".

I did my work, saw patients, emptied all the boxes out of my office from the move, and got organized, including answering/deleting/reading all my e-mails from the past 7 weeks. I didn't get a phone call from Paul and Beckie so I was hopeful that everything was going good.

Guess what?????

I got stuck in the elevator for about 5 minutes by myself today. Engineering had a tough time opening the door but everything was ok in the end. I thought twice about taking the elevator to the lobby after work but I was lazy and didn't want to take the stairs from the sixth floor.

When I got to Paul and Beckies.....I found out that Charlee pucked all over herself and Beckie. So much for getting better. We went straight home and started Cinderella. Charlee ate a piece of toast and some water then....
Time for a cat nap

I'm jealous.....

Last Day of Leave

Today is my last day of maternity leave. I wish I had more time with the Girls. The Girls will be with Grandma so I know they are in good hands. Natalee's first day at daycare is Thursday. I'm sure I'll have hard time saying good-bye.

My Girls at 7:30 PM.

Update: Natalee woke up about 45 minutes later for more play time and Charlee fell out of bed at 8:40. No tears and straight back to sleep.
